Get Ready for Earth Day

Cleaning Up Surfer's Beach

Cleaning Up Surfer's Beach

We are looking forward to honoring Earth Day with our annual “beach cleanup” in El Granada. Come and join us!

DATE: Saturday, April 23

TIME: 9 a.m. – noon

PLACE: Mirada Surf West, on the bluffs above “Surfer’s Beach” in El Granada, CA

Park on the east side of Highway One at Coronado St. in El Granada and cross safely with the light.

We will provide disposable gloves and bags for trash and recycling. We have a few long-handled trash pickers to loan out, too! Volunteers will work their way along the beach, the breakwater, the highway edges and nearby streets to pick up debris.

To make the event even more earth-friendly, bring your own reusable work gloves and a bucket for the debris you collect. When you bring your buckets back to the sign-up table we can consolidate trash and recyclables and reduce the number of plastic bags we use.

Contact Ranger Sarah Lenz at 650-728-3584 for questions or to sign up.
