Ranger Sarah reports that the tsunami surge experienced in the area on March 11, 2011 did no damage at FMR:
“We had the park and all beaches closed (as did the rest of the state). I did witness many surges that looked very different from the regular high surf stuff. We have been experiencing that surge action for the last few days so definitely an ongoing process but not as dramatic as Friday.”
